The 2025 DevSci Awards aim to recognize and reward excellence across all functions within DevSci.

THE DEVSCI AWARDS 

 

The purpose of the DevSci Awards is to recognize employees who embrace our organization's core values and go above and beyond expectations in their conduct, work ethic, behavior, dedication and passion for carrying out our mission.

In the spirit of “EverydayAI,” assess opportunities to recognize the impact of AI as well as R&D Excellence initiatives through consideration of strategic contributions that drive efficiency, enhance decision-making, and advance scientific or operational excellence.
 

The nomination period is August 13 to October 3, 2025 (extended to October 10). All nominations must be made through the online nomination link found below.

Each of the winners will be presented with a monetary award and invited to a special awards ceremony hosted by the DSLT.  Additionally, those who nominate someone who becomes a finalist in their category, will also be recognized.

​

Invitations to the award ceremony will be sent once finalists have been selected.

Collaborative Excellence Award

This award celebrates individuals or teams who exemplify an outstanding commitment to collaborative practices within our organization. It recognizes exceptional efforts in fostering a culture of teamwork and information exchange, valuing diverse perspectives, and embracing collaborative problem-solving. Through this dedication to collaboration and knowledge sharing, our collective capabilities are strengthened, driving synergy in and across DevSci.

Scientific Innovation Award

This award honors individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional progress in driving scientific capabilities, strategies, and the integration of innovative drug development approaches, including for advanced therapeutics. Through their visionary thinking and groundbreaking contributions such as designing scientifically sound workflows, enabling effective data generation and incorporating emerging technologies like AI and ML to enhance model development and decision-making, they push the boundaries of scientific knowledge and propel our organization toward cutting-edge discoveries and breakthroughs. This unwavering commitment to advancing scientific understanding, aligning with evolving AI/ML capabilities and translating complex concepts and forward-thinking innovation into tangible advancements, makes them true pioneers of science within DevSci.

Efficiency Champion Award

This award celebrates individuals or teams who consistently “clear the path” demonstrating outstanding abilities in simplification and prioritization. They have a remarkable talent for streamlining complex processes, eliminating unnecessary steps, and optimizing workflows. By fostering a culture of efficiency, they empower others to work smarter and achieve better results. Their contributions support the implementation of “Lab in the Loop” design cycles, including the integration of advanced tools such as generative AI and ML models and seamless data flow between experimental and analytical functions. Through their exceptional abilities to simplify and prioritize, they pave the way for increased productivity, improved outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Disruptive Thinker Award

This award celebrates individuals or teams who embody the spirit of disruptive thinking and also have shown how their ideas have made a tangible and meaningful impact on the organization, projects, or teams. Their remarkable contributions extend beyond the realm of scientific advancements and encompass novel solutions, process improvements, and creative strategies that lead to significant and lasting outcomes. Their unwavering commitment to turning ideas into actions leads to transformative results, benefiting our mission and enhancing our collective success.

Knowledge Cultivator Award

This award celebrates individuals or teams who actively share knowledge and foster a culture of learning and development. Through their outstanding contributions as mentors, coaches, and teachers, they actively invest in the growth and success of others. They promote diversity, inclusion, and knowledge sharing, igniting a collective passion for continuous learning and collaboration, making a lasting impact.

NOMINATIONS AND SELECTION

All nominations must be submitted via the online nomination form by October 10, 2025.

 

  • Nominations may be made by a regular full time (blue badge) DevSci employee

  • Nominees must be regular full time DevSci employees

  • Nominations will be shared with the nominee

  • Nominations can be submitted for individuals or teams 

Note: only DevSci team members will be given a monetary award and invited to the awards ceremony. Contractors and external DevSci colleagues will be recognized through an email communication

Once the nomination period closes, a cross-functional selection committee will begin a thorough review process to select award finalists and winners for each category. The committee will then forward the finalists to the DSLT, who will endorse final award winners.

ATTORNEYS
DO I HAVE TO FILL OUT THE ENTIRE NOMINATION FORM?
Yes, incomplete submissions will not be sent to the selection committee for consideration.  Please be as clear and concise as possible while appropriately describing and representing the contribution of the nominee.

ARE THE NOMINATIONS FOR 2025 ONLY?
Yes, please nominate individuals or teams that exemplified these specific behaviors in 2025.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE AWARDS?
Any full time DevSci employee (Blue Badge) is eligible for nomination.

WHAT WILL WINNERS RECEIVE?
Award winners will receive a monetary award. For team winners, the award will be split evenly between all members of the team. Only DevSci team members will be awarded a monetary award.

HOW DO I NOMINATE A TEAM?
When nominating teams, include members who played a central role in the project, program or initiative.  Please keep the team nomination to a maximum of 10 people.  Only DevSci team members will be awarded a monetary award.

CAN I NOMINATE MYSELF OR MY TEAM?
Yes, you can nominate yourself, your team, or other individuals or teams.


CAN I NOMINATE SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF DEVSCI?
The DevSci Awards are intended to recognize DevSci employees, however, we understand that some teams involve members outside of the DevSci organization. If you are nominating a team, you may include members outside of DevSci if they were core contributors to the project and they will receive honorable mentions.

WHEN WILL THE CEREMONY TAKE PLACE?
The ceremony will be an in-person event this year. Details will be sent out at a later date.
